Invisible Braces
Lingual orthodontics (invisible braces) uses orthodontic brackets
attached to the back surfaces of the teeth, so they are effectively
invisible. This can be a big advantage if you are self conscious in
public situations. Lingual braces are not appropriate in all cases and
your dentist will be able to advise about your suitability at your
consultation. See the photos below which show the hidden 'invisible'
braces.
What are ‘invisible braces’?
Lingual orthodontics (invisible braces) uses orthodontic brackets attached to the lingual (inside near to the tongue) surfaces of the teeth.
Benefits include totally hidden appliances, bite opening and better anchorage control. Speech can be slightly affected although less so as the appliances are improving in design and techniques. See the photos below which show the hidden 'invisible' braces.
